The Nenagh Community Reparation Project is a pilot project in restorative justice which commenced in June 1999. It is modelled on a similar project, operating in Timaru in New Zealand, whereby offenders are provided with alternative means of making reparation to their victim or community.

It proposes an alternative way of dealing with some offenders from the Criminal Justice (Court) System. The Project enlists the expertise and experience of local statutory and state funded organisations and local community interests. It is funded by the Probation and Welfare Service..
